Wood Lake Nature Center has nature exploration backpacks that families can check out for free: birding packs (year ’round), forest exploration packs (year ’round), two prairie & marsh insect packs (spring, summer, fall) and winter exploration (winter). The backpacks have handy tools and information for doing some independent exploring!
