DAZZLING DAVE YO-YO MASTER

DAZZLING DAVE YO-YO MASTER
Dave’s yo-yo has a heartbeat.
See a performance by Dazzling Dave and you might start believing his yo-yos are alive. Dazzling Dave Schulte is a professional yo-yo performer and highly acclaimed champion who has circled the globe since 1998, storming audiences everywhere with his freakish tornado of whirling tricks and tips, all designed to entertain, educate, and illuminate the beauty of the growing sport of professional yo-yo.
A former middle school teacher, Dave’s heart and soul are still in teaching – but now he’s found a better way. Delivering intensely fun freestyle performances followed by friendly hands-on instruction, Dave teaches his “students” hand-eye coordination, goal setting & achievement, performance techniques, and the fundamentals of physics, all through the Science of Spin program and his hand-held classroom on a string.
Equally impressed by both the energy of his performance style and his mastery of the most advanced yo-yo tricks, judges have peppered Dave with awards throughout his professional career. His awards include:
• 1996 Masters World Champion
• 1997 Twin Cities Champion
• 1998 Midwest Regional Champion
• 1999 Fixed Axle World Champion
• 2000 Minnesota Champion
• World Record Holder
In October of 2001, Dazzling Dave was named to an elite group of National Yo-Yo Masters, making him one of the exclusive members of the Yo-Yo Judges at the World and National Yo-Yo Championships each year. Dazzling Dave has toured Japan, Korea, France, and Australia, as well as most of the United States.
Currently Dave lives in Minnesota and gives hundreds of shows each year. He lives with his wife, Kim, their two wonderful children, and his incredible collection of over 1,500 yo-yos from around the world. It’s amazing how his life has changed since that first day in 1993 when he was just a college junior looking for a diversion from the pressure of final exams. “Hey,” he said to his buddy. “Mind if I try your yo-yo?”
DEAD END HAYRIDE : Wyoming
Wyoming, MN
DEAD END HAYRIDE
WyomingIn the crisp autumn evenings, an evil descends upon and blankets the otherwise peaceful woods of Pinehaven Farm. We welcome you to venture into the darkness upon our hayride wagons to witness unspeakable horror and terrifying scenes which will subject you to cryogenic blasts, explosions, and over the top pyrotechnics as you are mauled by horrific creatures and their converts whom have taken refuge in these woods.
Survivors of this journey who wish to delve deeper into the horror will be dropped off to make their way on foot. Making your way through the woods you will likely encounter countless characters who have taken refuge within the woods and are taking advantage of the seemingly endless supply of bodies produced by the cemetery, or escapees seeking refuge within the concealment of the woods.
You may even come to find that your own sense of reality is slipping away as some of your greatest fears play out in front of you and perhaps even grab, and pull you in to join them.
Provided that you retain your composure and find your way out of the woods, you are welcome to check into the Pinehaven Motor Inn for an undoubtedly well-earned rest. Please be cautious as to whom you associate with during your stay, as the character of our clientele seems to have been slipping lately. During your stay, please do not venture behind the motel since there are some unsavory neighbors which live the corn field and abandoned sewer system which we have been trying to have evicted. It has also been reported that some of the terrifying clowns that have been terrorizing our inner cities and wooded areas have established some sort of hive within the cornfield behind the Inn.
We hope that you enjoy your adventure into the Ultimate Horror Experience that is the Dead End Hayride and wish you luck on your journey.

I KNOW MY WAY ORIENTEERING
I KNOW MY WAY ORIENTEERING
Orienteering … not just a sport, it’s an important a life skill. I KNOW MAY WAY LLC teaches orienteering to schools, youth groups, homeschool groups, adult groups, families & more…
Orienteering is the high performance sport that involves fast running and quickly thinking to pick the best route while navigating on highly detailed maps. Practicing this sport of fast paced map and compass navigation, whether in the forest, park or city, teaches us so much more than just how to get from where we are to where we want to go. It trains the same part of the brain that acts as “the little GPS in our head”, storing landmarks and spatial relationships between them, the part that is used for solving word problems as well as engineering problems that require our spatial working memory. Practicing orienteering we learn how to make decisions, solve problems, trust our own knowledge. The power of these skills and the confidence we gain are useful in all areas of our life. And having fun, outdoor exercise and the appreciation of nature are a welcome bonus.
Anyone can learn to enjoy reading maps, together with others or on their own, whether you are 5 or 95. Maps are the true magic in a treasure hunt. Learn from us and say with confidence “I know my way!”.

MINNESOTA TWINS • TARGET FIELD TOURS : Minneapolis
Minneapolis, MN
MINNESOTA TWINS • TARGET FIELD TOURS
MinneapolisTHE BEGINNING…
1960
On October 26, Calvin Griffith, president of the Washington Senators, made the historic decision to move his club to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, thereby giving birth to the “Minnesota Twins,” named after the two Upper Midwest cities. The Griffith organization had operated the team in our nation’s capital ever since the immortal Clark Griffith took over as manager of the club in 1912. The team moved to Minnesota sporting such names as Harmon Killebrew, Bob Allison, Camilo Pascual and Jim Lemon.
1961-62
After just one season of operations in Minnesota, the Twins jumped from a 7th-place finish in 1961, to a strong 2nd-place in 1962. A couple of rookies made it big in that 1961 season, Jim Kaat and Zoilo Versalles, and they joined with 1962 first-year men Bernie Allen and Rich Rollins to spark the Twins to their strong finish in that second season. In addition, a couple of off-season trades negotiated by Mr. Griffith helped to vault the team to within five games of the New York Yankees – acquiring first baseman Vic Power and pitcher Dick Stigman from Cleveland for hurler Pedro Ramos, and swapping outfielder Dan Dobbek to Cincinnati for catcher Jerry Zimmerman.
